What Would You Do To Make London A Better Place?
Smart street furniture, such as the Eyestop, an interactive solar-powered bus stop (see http://senseable.mit.edu/eyestop/). The Eyestop gives commuters a way to browse the Web, create their bus routes, and determine the exact location of oncoming buses. The EyeStop can also act as an active environmental sensing node, gathering information through sunlight as it collects information about air quality.
That looks awesome, I agree, I spend a lot of time at bus stops a little bit more info and to a lesser extent entertainment wouldn't go a miss. I think people are far happier if they know how long they have to wait for something. It always feels like a much longer wait when you are unsure of when the next bus/train/tube etc is.
