They do this with the old Aldwych tube on The Strand sometimes. Would be great if it was done more often.

Yeah, I agree. It would take a fair bit of capital, though, as many are not in a safe state for the general public. There's a guy who's trying to do this with some of the old 'deep level' stations that never opened.
