great idea! would be very nice to events such as free cooking schools or event let people have trial runs of potential business ideas without the extreme rent prices.

There is an organisation that aims to do just that http://www.meanwhilespace.com/ If you know someone with empty space - encourage them to let someone make good use of it in the meantime! :)
